Drake was a very sweet boy, and one of my most laid back rats. Like his mother, he craved attention and loved people. He was always one of the first rats to the cage door, and always tucked his hind legs when I picked him up. He relaxed his entire body when held, sometimes almost making it hard to hold him! Drake could not sit on shoulders or else he would fall off, because he simply did relax too much.
Overall Drake was built very nicely. He had good size and good bone, with a solid, muscular build. His head was nice, with good shape, but a tad long. His eyes were nice and his ears were good, round and well placed. His tail was thick and round. His coloring was good for Russian blue Burmese, if a little bit light. He showed little if any silvering, and the color went down to his toes. Drake’s fur was bad for a rex, more wavy than curly.
Drake had been used to help establish my outcross to Midwestern lines as well as better my Russian blue Burmese. I have only had two litters with him, both into the outcross, and will now need time to evaluate those litters. Drake had been a wonderful boy for my breeding program and produced beautiful, well-tempered offspring.
