Gulliver is a laid back, mellow boy. He's friendly, but not overly so. He's very quiet, and graciously accepts attention. He is a very peaceful member of his cage, always going with the flow and never getting involved in arguments.
Overall Gulliver has good type. He has good size, with a good head. His eyes are bold, his ears are nice, though could be a bit bigger. His color is very good for a Russian blue, holding strong, dark color with little silvering, and color down to his toes.
Gulliver descends from my outcross between one of my males and a female from Illinois. He is the second generation in this outcross. The goal for this outcross was to improve the health and type of my rats. In this generation I have seen an amazing improvement in the heads of my animals. I hope to fix this trait into the line, while working at improving other traits. At this time I am still gathering health information, but so far Gulliver's grandmother and her sister are doing wonderful. They will turn 2 years old on February 11, 2010 and so far have had no health concerns, are holding good weight, and don't look a day over 1 year.
